I'm not sure, I just bought a used Evo 50 with one and it's sweet. Not nearly the punch but it is smooth and flys forever.

hey,
yes, the old SHX non hypers are still made and sold here and there and are fantastic for situations where gobs of power arnt required and also runs longer then the hyper due to lower fuel consumption
Although not much cheaper than the hypers i think....

NO, they don't still make the 50 SX-H. It's not even listed as a current motor on the OS Japan website.

Of course you can still buy parts, as except for the carb and head, the 50 SX-H and 50 Hyper are the same motor.

The 50 SX plank motor was also discontinued at the same time as the 50 SX-H, and that was at least a couple of years ago, perhaps three.

If you're finding new ones in stock somewhere, you're finding new "OLD" stock.
