I sold it and the Swift 550 carbon a couple of weeks ago so that I could get a RTF 3DMP-E. I liked the Logo 500 other than the parts cost which is why I told her about the 600. I got my hands on a Trex for everyday flying and loaded the stable with a Logo 6003D, 3DMP-E, and a 3DMPXL-E. I better start on a parts fund!!!! It will be FUN though....Ron

Your going to love that Logo 600, its one sweet machine. I just personally got a Logo 14 and my friend Chris got a Logo 600 to do some serious Probar testing. Puts us on a level playing field to do some real comparison of our system with the others....but man I am extreamly pleased with the preformance on my L14.

Very cool Ron, and very cool on the new developments as well Carlos.

Ron what are your thoughts on your 600 setup thus far?

I was thinking about an Actro 32-3, Jazz ESC, No sure on the servos yet, maybe the JR 8717, maybe 10s or 12s (I have multiple FP 6s lipos) GY 611 combo. Not quite sure just yet. Any suggestions?

Well nice thing about the FS servo option as your 5003D was you really have a ton of options. I run the 8717s, but to be honest I don't think there huge tourque is needed fully and they really chew up the mahs'. There are several options like the hitec 6965 I think and of course the new brushless servos that are out there that would work real nice as well. Motors well of course again there are a few options there. I have not enough time on my machine due to a brutal winter to make a true educated decision on that one. And by looks of things could be months before I fly outside again . Have fun though, you will enjoy the heli.

Hello

I like the idea of the 8717's on everything even the tail Id use the Spartain gyro with it and run the entire setup on 2s Lipos. Youll have the most insaine electronics package ever.

From there the motor you prob want is the Hacker A50-XXs motor but I dont know which one for 12s. Gear it for a 2100RPM HS and dial it down a bit. I think the only that that could be more powerful than your setup is my flybarless Logo 14

Dang Ron were going to have to get together and youll have to show me that killer collection of yours.

what 12s config would be right in this setup?

i also have a logo 500 using 6s either 5350 evo lites or alternative pack...

would be kind of cool to use 2 of the packs in the 600 if possible...

is that too much battery weight at 2 of the 6s packs in the l600?

Larry, 12s 3700's on a 32-3 or a neu 1915-1y would be quite silly. 12s 5350's would be too heavy.

Carlo, apparently the 8717's don't work well on the tail, probably due to the lower resolution compared to a 9256.
If you're going all out, a hacker motor would be the last thing I'd put in there, lol ! It's a good option if you're on a budget.
I found the 6003d to actually feel and look more powerful, with less power, than my logo 14. Weird as it weighs more but it definitally looks and feels like it has considerably more "pop".
Must be the servo layout or the full size servos or something. My 14 was no slouch either, it was running 2800-3600watts in different configurations. The 6003d eats it for breakfast though.

If your going to run the heavier 12s setup aim for 2300rpm on the head with 600mm blades, or try some maniac 623mm blades around the 2200rpm mark.

Congratulations Ron, great christmas present

Damned NTM 3600Watts !!! : you mean 85-90 Amp on a 10s setting ? What ESC are you using ?
I never reached more than 50 Amp on my L14 or my 3DMP and I thought I was flying sometimes... hard

The 1915-1y on a 15 tooth pinion, with the older style v-blades and 15 degrees of pitch would see 110+ amps on 10s. Modified jazz 55-10-32, it would thermal once in a while...

The only thing that can account for the added pop is probably the addition of the larger servos which may move the swash faster...other than the frame and the drive train the Logo hasnt changed much.

But the A50 puts out pretty insaine power, I dont think its the most efficient though. Heck I get pretty insaine power on my L14 with just a Tango but Im also flybarless If I had to go all out Id prob look towards the higher end german motors like the big Actro Daniel is using and also the NEU's...if you can find them. The hacker is more than enough though.

I actually heard the 8717 works pretty well for the tail but that person may have been mistaken. The Futaba tail servo is always a good choice but man I would love to run it all unregulated on 2s Li.

That's about it, every motor is nuts on these things.

Really when you're running flybarless on the 6003d's and 14's you don't need crazy power, most of the time I seem to be in the 2600-3000 watt range with a setup that will do 4000 watts continious.
Sure you get the odd spike once in a while, but for the most part once you settle into a set of tic tocs or something it's in the mid 2000 watt range.

I'm going to try one of the tango 45-08 motors with 600mm v-blades on my back up vbar 6003d, the tango's are very effecient up to the 2500 watt range, they start to get a little limp wristed past that though. Should get great flight times and still have good power.

I'm in the process of setting up my other v-bar 6003d with 690mm rotortech blades and an actro 32-3 max/10s 25c 4350mah flightpowers.
I had a 1915-1y on this one with 620mm blades but wanted to try the 32-3 to see if it'll make me fly like Daniel J. .

I agree that the hacker is more than enough, but that's x number of dollars that could go towards another motor with more power and more flight time

On 10s 4350's and 600-620mm blades, the actro 24-3 looks to be pretty mean. Ahhh one more motor to try

Regards,
Nathan

BTW dont confuse the old A50-14s with the new one. They changed the new one to a 10 pole motor so it works well with the common ESC avilable. Dont worry Chris and I will post a vid to show how "cheap" this motor is

I am talking about the ten pole version, I stand by my comments, it's about second from the bottom of all the newer motors I've tested.
It makes good power but there are several other motors out there that make more power and get the same or more flight time as the a50-14s "ten pole".
I put about 60 flights on my logo 14 with the A50.

Nathan
