I trully hope this is something that Spektrum will work to fix, as it is really somewhat dangerous. And yes I do know that reboots should be avoided at all costs.

It's not the 6100, it's all Spektrum receivers. They all take anywhere from half a second to 3 seconds to reconnect. Power your stuff properly, and it won't happen. I've read that the new 9100 has been redesigned to make reconnects almost instant.

I still think that this can be fixed. Either by changing the code so that the RX remembers the last changes in use, and then scans if it doesn't find the signal. Or by changing where in the band it starts scanning, scanning from the start of the band may not always be the best place to start.

And as I said, yes reboots in flight should be avoided at all costs. That said these would be much better products with the best implementation for relinking possible with this hardware. It may be that neither option is possible with these chips.

And it would be so easy to boot a lot faster. Just write the last 2 channels being used into flash or eeprom and scan them first at powerup...
