Taking 2 4S NiMH packs in parallel, how do you think it would work out in high current draw setups, i.e; digital servo's, etc.

Drawing (Im guessing) 2 amps (at most) will I see less of a voltage drop under load as if I were using just 1 pack?

Would work out great exactly as you are thinking. My suggestion though would be to get a nimh pack that has a very low impedance rating, that would get you better performance than even two decent packs in parallel. Hangtime Hobbies publishes the specs on all the cells they use. They have the Elite 4500 packs that are rated at 3mOhms, which is excellent, as well as many others if thats not what you are looking for. Anything over 10mOhms dont bother, they wont perform well under high loads.
