So I don't know how many of you guys had this happened to you but I was tightening the Jesus bolt to the main shaft and heard this loud crack. After finding the side with the nut was fine, I looked and the side with the bolt had cracked the plastic. It went all the way down the lower gear. It didn't look like it would create much of a problem, but I didn't trust it to much, so I replaced it. But just wanted to know if this had happened to anbody else before. And if you are still flying it that way.

It hasn't happened to me on the Trex but it has on the raptor. The plastic has become brittle I suppose.

I would also replace the one way sleeve... if you tighten that thing enough for the plastic to crack, I'm sure your sleeve is out of shape too and your one way will lock up in a couple of flights or sooner.

Tension

VERY little pressure (tightening the jesus nut and bolt together) is needed to hold the jesus bolt in place, just bring it down till it bottoms out and give it an additional half twist. You are only trying to hold the jesus shaft in place, also tightening the jesus nut down to far or to hard can cause the one way to act up and malfunction do to warping the inner one way shaft assembly....Jim

Would it still lock up if the main shaft slid right into place? Could it still be warped? Also today, I went flying and it did just fine... The only thing was it was too hot when I hit throttle hold. The cluch didn't want to disengade and it rapped out for a second then did just fine but it never did it again after that.

it only takes a little runout to cause havoc. Once the one way locks up you not only need to replace the one way but also the shaft as it will keep locking. Its a $5 or $10 item if not mistaken. Get it
