Hello Guys,

I was reading the new RC heli mag today at work, and I saw in the front, that they were talking about new TST Extreme blades, with a differnt CG, and carbon fiber process.

Has any of the reps/sponsored pilots flown these yet?

Yea,

Tried them, seem great so far, very quick indeed Also they might be a tad stiffer, but that just by flexing by hand.

Thanks for the reply Daniel. Can't wait to try a set. Do you know when they will be released to the public?

DO they have the textured finish? Are they available with white or flash?

Hi Torkboy,
Im not a sponsored pilot, but have used the 600mm tsts.
The surface of those blades shocked me when i took them out of the pack!!! The surface is made up of tons of little holes, Like 1mmx1mmx1mm. My guess is its like the dimples in golf balls?( Retaining a layer of air on the surface for efficiency.)
I dunno if you could find a way to get tape/stickers, to take to that surface; i havent tried, i dont use stickers.
I could not tell much difference between the untextured Vs and the tsts, but when changing from a SAB to a tsts, the difference was huge.
Not hard to clean, and as been said above, the TST blades are ridgid as, not much tip to root flex, and bugger all span wise flex.
At the moment, these are the CHEAPEST, quality blades availiable at my local stores! Bout $100US Luv it when it works out like that!!
Cheers, CHRIS

PS, Jason, cheers for the years of enjoyment watchin ya fly dude!!
Keep it up!!! And happy holidays all.

Imagine the old blades with the CF texture turned by 45 degrees, thats how the new ones look, everything else you can't see

I talked with a guy last night that works for Kong Power of in china, and hes flown a set.

He stated that they are getting to fly like radix, there is apparently more flex in the blades, the cg has moved inward(should yield a faster cyclic rates), less bogging. But they dont stop quite as fast, nor auto as good because they are lighter (119g).

Should be interesting!
