With the new bell cranks the new ratio is 2 to 1 correct? That being said you want to go with a higher torque servo. So my question is, because its now a 2 to 1 ratio and not 1 to 1 does that mean a servo with a 60 degree transit time of say .14 will now be cut down to .07? I have 94758's that I had planned on using but I am not sure that the 115oz of torque will do that job can anyone comment on this.

Thanks

Kyle,

I would think you would be OK, since the geometry was originally tested with 9451's on 6 volts, which had right at the same torque as the ATX servos you've specified. When you say "planned", does that mean you've not yet bought the servos?

Bell cranks

Thanks for the reply Ben, I already have 3 94758 servos sitting here not being used so I had planned on trying them out. But if they were tested using 9451's and they have the same torque spec then I see no reason not to go ahead with the 94758's. You know it's funny how we look at how fast a servo is @ it's 60 degree transit time, but in reality how many of us are using a full 60 degree sweep? And by making one side of the new bell cranks longer then the other it is going to shorten the amount of travel of that servo by half to get the same output at the swashplate. That being said I am really excited about getting my Stratus finished this week so I can test it out. Are you currently using the new bell cranks? And if so what is your opinion of them?

PS The drive and Tempest bearing block work great thanks again.
Take care

Kyle
