Just wondering who here flies all winter long. I want to get one of those rc mitts for my transmitter. Today it is 36 degrees F outside but the wind is 16 MPH gusting to 26 MPH. So it looks like no flying today.

I do try and fly a little in the winter. Not very often though. Calm and sunny and above freezing for me. About time for me to just get back on the sim.....

Well I go out and sit on a frozen lake chasing after dinner quite a bit in the winter so I figured flying should be a piece of cake. You would be surprised how warm it can actually feel if the wind is not blowing and the sun is out strong. If you dress right there is no reason not to get out there and get some flying in on those nice days.

It was in the high sixtys yeasterday, a bit cloudy though.
It is suppose to be in the low seventies on sunday, and sunny.

If it gets any colder, I may have to move to Mexico?(LOL)

Year round. It is as necessary as breathing.
I almost froze my arse off yesterday though and it wasn't that cold. With a snow-freezing rain mix approaching by tomorrow my weekend is shot.

I try and get out to fly at least a few times during the winter. Gets harder and harder to motivate myself to do it each year though.

I flew 4 flights yesterday. It was around 38 and 15 to 25 mph gusts in late afternoon. It was chilly. I did manage to get 4 flights in with 2 different machines. When my fingers get numb it makes it rather hard to fly. I need to get a transmitter mitt also.

I hope to get out at least once a month if not more often through the winter. I had to tighten both belts as they were super sloppy in the cold.

i have tried it... with and without a transmitter mit... i gave up... it is just not fun for me... my fingers get cold etc....plus everything gets brittle... better chance of destroying even more stuff in a pyle up..
i actually enjoy having a break from it... makes me appreciate it more in the spring...

I fly all winter, I've got a radio mitt, and plenty of warm clothes. It gets plenty cold here, generally single digits, and windy, it's still fun to go out and fly.
