Hi,

Just installed a YS 91 SR-RR in my Evo 90. I have been advised the following initial setting for the needles :

Hover 2.0
Low 1.75
Full 1.75

I am used to OS-motor. Could you give me some advice regarding breakin procedure ?? (I use 15% CoolPower).

Follow those settings for only one or two flights. Very rich settings for sure so you won't break in the motor that way, it needs to get warm to break in.

For break in I'd suggest 1.6 turns on the mid or long needle and 1.0 turn on the high or short needle, low at 1.2 turn. Don't do full speed climbouts for hundreds of feet on a new motor but you can fly around and do rolls and loops etc. After 10 flights you can start leaning out the needle settings to see how much power you have. Load the motor for longer periods of time each flight.

Check out this post and I state good settings to run but I'm using 30% Cool Power so your settings will be different. Just use the information as a guide.

Let me know if you need any more info.

To hover is divine, the alternative is rather PLANE.
