It's the same as our (uk) 490T.

So as per the instructions. leave the Rudder ATV'S @ 150%.

And tame down the piro rate using Dual Rates.

You might try decreasing the end point settings for your rudder channel in your Tx. Alternatively, you can also input some exponential to the rudder channel. The first option would slow down the tail response while the second would just make the rudder stick less sensitive around center.

Just lower the end points till its comfortable, increase them as you gain experience/confidence I'd start at 100/100

colsy is correct, for the G500T you want the rudder set to 150% as per the instruction and then use the travel adjust on the gyro itself to limit binding, then set the expo values to tame down the response. If it is still fast, as a test, try lowering the rudder values to say 70% and fly. If its still too fast you might be looking at a bum JR gyro and it wouldn't be the first either from my experience.

I had the same problem and I changed the end points and added expo. now it's just like I like it.

im with colsy

lower the percentafge on the dual rates rather than the end points.
lowering the dual rates limits the amount of movement on the swash. the only time you will need 100%travel on the swash is when you intend to flip it over.

the expo only desentizises the centre of the controls the d/r limits the amount of travel that is possible.

OP is referring to tail rotor, not the cyclic.
