I just got a new TT ripper motor" OBL43/11-30H and there is no c-clip or anything keeping the motor together other than the magnets.
I can easily pull it apart.

Is this o.k.

Thanks for any help

No this is not ok.

There should be an E-clip on the shaft side of the motor. Your LHS or a hardware store may have one that will fit.

I wouldn't fly until you get this fixed.

I didn't think so, there not even a groove on the shaft to accept a e-clip, no wonder it was on sale.

Thanks for the info

Maybe they will refund or swap it for you.

If it's like the JGF 450 then it doesn't have or need anything to hold the armature in the motor. The magnets in the can interacting with the field coils will keep it together normally and when energized and running you couldn't get it apart for love or money. It's actually nice when they are made like that as you can take them apart easily without tools to check and/or change bearings if needs be.

Thanks for all your responses.

A friend of mine said that his z-power a30 is the same way.
Well we'll give her a try in my new Logo 500 3d
