I just upgraded the power system in my L10 so im able to tick tock now. I noticed that when I tick tock the heli kinda rocks or should I say shudders asif im doing the new cracking manuver that jetschin and others have started doing. Its pretty annoying as it makes it hard to do tick tocks in one spot. Have any of you guys experienced this?

logo 10

Something is wrong...I have owned and flown probably 10 or so logo 10's and have never had this shake you speak of..

In fact I was just flying my logo 10 at lunch time today...it tic tocs with no issues at all?

I would check paddle alignment and all your links...sounds like something is either off or loose..

I should have added in the original post that it whens I stop...either the tick or the tock where the heli stops momentarily,

My helis will do that if the headspeed is dropping too low. Is the power system keeping up with the collective inputs and pitch range you have set up? If you can go to a bigger pinion to increase headspeed that might help or eliminate the shudders.

Never, ever, ever, ever give up.

yeah the power system is pretty good...pulling abouy 800 watts at full pitch and maybe more with collective added..the heli only weighs 5.2 pounds...ill try putting a bigger pinion...my setup is a fun600-18 with 4s4p pack running a 13 T pinion I might want to try a 14T then

You are experiencing vortex ring state.

With zero relative wind, and no lateral drift in the maneuver, everytime you pull in the opposite pitch you momentarily settle in your own downwash creating voticies at the blade tips that are causing an unstable looking heli.

If there is any wind, cut through it with your disc creating translational lift and preventing Vortex Ring State, Or keep a bit of momentum same thing, clean air means no VRS shutter and more pop and less load.

If you must do it in zero wind stationary...
Ensure head speed is cranked
dampners are hard and in good shape
Lots of pitch range with a FAST collective servo will break through the dirty air quicker, as well making coll inputs a little quicker when transitioning with a bit of pop helps clear things a bit better.

I agree, but above all a very good power system will make tictoks seem effortless. For electrics, have a quality ESC, a quality battery, and a kick-butt motor. A combo example is a Jazz ESC, Flight Power lipo battery, and a NEU motor. Program an ample head speed, and you should get a feel of how much collective and cyclic to input.

I'll have to upload a video soon of my Trex450 on a 4s doing tictoks. It's insanity.

i haveanother problem now

i went to my LHS to get some harder dampers. I got some trex 600N ones and they fit perfect and flush with the logo head block without any play.

I installed the dampers and assembled the head assembly. Now I seem to get play in the head between the blade grips and the head block. I have a set of the L10 instructions and I reassembled the head according to it, but im having no luck. I moved the washers around in the head and reassembled it but I get the grips touching the head block and they cannot move.

does anyone have an illustration of the assembly with with dimensions for the washers?

Kogi,

I would say it is a power and a collective management issue. I experiance that with my Trex 450, most of the time, My R50 sometimes, MY 600N, not much. AND when I flew a freinds Freestyle 90, never.

But then my collective management skills, well... I must have been drinking heavily when that was explained to me.

Tic Tocs are all about timing, period. Time it right and wow, time it wrong and "What the Heck was that"

Just keep it up.

P.S. the more power you have the less adept you need to be at collective management.
