A friend of mine has a trex 600E and he purchased a V2 pack(6s 5000mah) and he has only had about 7 cycles on the pack and its already showing signs of getting weak.

It just so happend that a field rep from TP was present (not going to mention names) at the field and he told us that the batteries are only good for about 25 cycles with the way we push them on the 600E with the new xl motor. He said that as long as you are not getting 7-8 mins of flight that the batteries will die very fast.

I am just posting this out here to get more info from you guys. What do you think of the new V2 are they worth the money?

Another friend of mine just told me today that after borrowing a FP pack and using it in his little rex that the performance is way way better than the new v2's...the FP pack he used was a 25C one..

Any inputs would be greatly apprecaited.
thanks

They're working great for me. Eight cycles and going strong! If they fail within 90 days you can get them replaced. How much are you putting back into them? Mine are usually taking around 3000-3500mah.

tell him to convert to 10s and he won't have to worry about trashing packs as much. Not only that his performance will even improve over those V2 6S packs.

even the air thunders and kong powers can be trashed in a Trex 600 running 6S

My 6s1p 5000 TP v2 performs exactly the same as my FP 6s1p 5000/25C.
I fly them in 12s setup, 6 min flight-time.

Remember, it takes ONE over-discharge on the TP/FP to damage them, its not a question IF you damage them, its a question how much.

for 25C that no longer equal 3.0v per cell, stay above 3.2 else your toast.

(80% rule is therefor needed)

My AT packs are holding up with an exception of capacity "loss", my 5000 packs are now 4500, but stays that way and voltage under load is still good, according to AT thats normal.

However, If you run your pack at 25C constantly, I dont think you will see many cycles.
