I have been leaning towards the Spartan.

What are the thoughts on the G770 and the CY Solid G??

I'm interested on the "final word" as well, the 770 seems to get mixed reviews, some it is working great and others are having a lot of trouble. I'm already half tempted to sell it and pick up a 611 or spartan... But I'm going to screw with the 770 some more when I get a chance, not ready to give up on it yet.

Mikado Logo 400, hopefully ready by spring.

Personally, I think your leaning the right way.

I'd be surprise if you ever get a final word on anything. We're all just to varied on our opinions.

You should consider try'n a Solid G.

Besides the recall with the Solid G for cleaning . . I have heard nonthing but good reviews on this gyro.

Recalls are a good thing and you have to respect those companies that standup and support their products.

I myself have a Solid G and I am looking forward to enjoying it with my new Xtreme 50.

I have the SolidG on my 600n with the JR DS8900G servo.
I installed it according to the manual/video which was very very easy, no messing around with first setting up in rate mode and so. Haven't changed a thing since day one, it's just prefect!

I try to fly 3D, but I'm no hardcore 3D pilot, and have only been using gy401 before. But not once has the SolidG let me down like my old 401 used to, even if I bog the engine it still preforms excellent with constant piro-rate and holding power. It actually helps my flying skills being able to trust my gyro like I can with the SolidG/DS8900G combo.

For me it's definitely a SolidG on my next heli. Unless its a 450 ep or so, then I probably go for somthing like the spartan to save some weight and space.

I still love my Logitech gyros. They have a great price and they lock the tail like it hit a brick wall after a piro.

It is going to make it hard to sell, but maybe it will be better after I get it back from Horizon Hobbies....I fricken hate my G770 My brother and a friend have Futaba 611 and are locked in. Of course another friend has a G770, but after seeing mine, he is worried and hasn't even flown his.
