Lake Havasu is beautiful, visited a time or two but never lived there so I couldn't give you the rundwon. I think they have a decent spring break crowd out there (girls gone wild baby!).

Why not move to Phoenix, Vegas or Tucson? Atleast then there are more jobs available.

If your movin here from Mn you'll be dead by late July, maybe early August.
Just kidding of course but the summers can get a little brutal.
But if you think you can handle the heat you'll always find yourself welcome at our flying field here in Mesa.

Treat me good, I'll treat you better. Treat me bad, I'll treat you worse.

Water is going to be a real problem real soon, global warming will hit that area hard, it already has. Hoover dam is going to be reduced to a tourist attraction. What do you want more, water or power?

Two friends of mine live in Kingman and I have been there many times. It is not a bad town but if you have children I hear that the public schools are not very good. The two friends are both teachers.

Been living here for 8 years thinking about moving out of AZ or Lake HAV.....the air quality and dust is up to my neck. If you have allergies think twice before moving here.

Lake Hav is number 1# in the nation for best air quality and low allergies/dust. I am thinking of moving there soon.

Population growth in the Desert SW will ultimately not be limited by water quantity -- it will be limited by water cost. California (as only one of the 7 SW states that use Colorado River System water) will eventually be forced to build desalinization plants at its coastline -- which will solve the quantity problem.

Since these plants' fresh water output will also benefit consumption levels for the other six states (by reducing California's need to use Colorado River water), Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, Colorado and Wyoming will no doubt be required to contribute in varying degrees to the costs of building these desalinization plants, and the power plants required to energize them.

Big changes are definitely coming during the next decade for the economic structures of the Southwestern States. On a personal level, I'll continue to do my part to reduce water consumption by drinking less water -- and more beer.
