Hi guys,First post so please be gentle.
I have moved on from a lama coaxial and got a Trex450 se v2.
The Trex was bought from a guy who never completed the heli and comes with align motor and esc, both se v2 spec.
I have been looking here at posts for tips etc and seen some great vids on build up.
To go with the Trex got a DX7 and a AR6200 rx.The manual for the trex shows a Futaba 6 and JR 7 RX setup.
Can anyone tell me the correct channel assingment for servo`s.gyro wise i am going for a fut401 or logictech 2100.will these effect assignment of RX.
Also in the box was a new seperate BEC (PARKBEC 6V).
i have looked at posts to find out if to use this or go with the align esc alone.
If anyone can help with these Q`s for now to get me moving that would be cool.I am bound to need help in the future also.

The servo hook up is identical to the Jr shown in the book. Gyro gain should go on channel 5 and leave it set to gear. YOur ATV in 0 position should be around 65-70 and in 1 position around 45-55.

Channel 1- throttle
channel 2- aileron
channel 3- elevator
channel 4- rudder
channel 5- gyro gain to gear
channel 6- pitch

I am not sure what you refer to in ATV position 0 65-70,position 1 45-55.
I have noticed in the swash screen the presets are all +60.
I have not really looked at the manual or ccpm setup yet. This is all new to me.

I think he is referring to setting your gyro gain through the travel adjustment of the gear channel which will work and some do it that way but I prefer doing the following which adds a Gyro Sensitivity Menu and lets you set sensitivity to each flight mode.

Access your model menu by turning on the power while holding SCROLL DOWN + SELECT.

Go to the Input Select Screen and you should see

AUX2______GEAR
__AUX2______GEAR

Change it to

AUX2______GEAR
__F.MOD______ GYRO

This will give you a Gyro Sens Menu in your settings, which you get to by pressing SCROLL DOWN + SELECT after the radio is turned on. Access the Gyro Sens and set it to AUTO and you get something like this.

RATE:_______NORM:0
0:72%_______STNT:1
1:68%_______HOLD:0

On the left you set two gains represented by 0 and 1. On the right you select which of those gains will be used by each flight mode. STNT 2 is not listed but is the same as STNT 1.

So from the settings above when the flight mode switch is in the NORM position, my gain is 72% but when I switch to FLIGHT MODE 1 it automatically changes to 68%.
