FUTABA SERVICE ---Thumbs Down...

I have been going back and forth ALL DAY long with them via email. I returned an almost new 9251 servo and they want to charge me 85$ for a new one. The servo AMP was defective and blew after less than 15 flights. I do not have the receipt so they will NOT warranty it?

I asked for a better deal and they basically told me to pound sand

WOAH...they are offering me a whopping 20$ discount over tower hobbies price...lol..

So I responded by asking why they were willing to lose a Futaba customer over something so petty as this?????

Their response..."Sorry we could not Accomodate your Response"

WTF???

I must not be a good enough customer

Friend of mine crashed a voyager 50 because of a bad bolt in a upgraded slipper clutch from JR and Horizon replaced all the damaged parts for free, almost a new kit.

You know, I think there's a common thread here with both Hobby Services and Horizon; calling them is better than emailing them.

When I got the wonderful service I enjoyed, it was all initiated over the phone. Prior to that, I had tried contacting them about another matter via email, and I never received a response.

I guess a voice on the phone might make all the difference. It's worth a try.

I don't understand Hobby Services (Futaba) at all. I've sent them clearly crash damaged gyros and servos that they've replace or fixed for free, but they charged my buddy 44.00 to replace an antenna and troubleshoot a rx.

Maybe the items that are repaired with charges are items not purchased from a Hobbico dealer. They may have been purchased from an online dealer that was grey market.
