You guys should really read more..
The United States is a nation of immigrants. Throughout our history, legal immigrants have brought energy, ideas, strength, and diversity to our country, our economy, and our culture. This must continue. But in the post-9/11 world, immigration is more of a national security issue. A government that cannot secure its borders and determine who may enter and who may not, abrogates a fundamental responsibility. I am committed to:

Securing our borders and enforcing immigration laws. Amnesty is not an option and the toleration of “sanctuary cities” must end.
Reviewing our immigration laws and policies to ensure they advance our national interests.
Uniting Americans by welcoming legal immigrants willing to learn English, assimilate into our communities, and become productive citizens.

Duncan Hunter sponsored the bill to build a border fence and has already built several miles of fence south of San Diego in his home district.

fwiw..

Don't disagree with Paul on Immigration...Isolationism, though attractive, isn't practical in todays' shrinking world...Wasn't aware Hunter was running for prez...I like a lot of what I've heard from him,but it's mostly on immigration
Paul loses out for me in his pacifistic stance toward the rest of the world..islam is a growing problem, and must be confronted...unless living in the 7th century is attractive...

Ron Paul has my vote as well. Close the border to ILLEGAL IMMAGRANTS! I'm not talking about immagrants who LAWFULLY apply for and receive priviliges of entry into this country. I'm talking about CRIMINALS who swim or tunnel their way into this country and steal money from our economy by bypassing the economic system that is in place. I'm also for lowering taxes, disenvolvement with other countries that can't or won't instigate change for their own well being. You should read more about Ron Paul and what he stands for http://www.ronpaul2008.com/

Pulling troops out of Iraq and letting them sort the mess out is hardly isolationism. that very same action hardly constitues isolating ourselves from the rest of the world.

I wonder when the blind/ignorant in this country will eat their humble pie and admit that invading iraq was a serious serious mistake...

I will refuse to cast a vote for any cadidate that is for the war effort.

On a side note, how many of those candidates actually looked the part of the most power person in the free world? Thompson looked like his skin was gonna fall off and Mcain looked like he had a tumor on his left lower jaw...

I also found giuliani's comments to Romeny ammusing . He full well expected that Mitt should have gone to the company mowing his lawn and asked for legit immigration papers?

hhmm, what an idiot. giuliani, as far as I am concerned, is solely in this for himself and his cohorts.

I won't be voting when it comes down to it. I'm still pissed that Stephen Colbert got the cold shoulder from those Pesky South Carolinian officials.

I always hear the balogney about young crowds don't vote and that hurts the system which I know is true but IMO I don't care too much for most of the politics scene anyway. A whole lot of mudslinging and name calling anyway. Most of them get elected and never do a thing they say the will.

I would have gotten up and gone out to vote for Colbert though. I think alot of others would have as well. He probably could have roped in a good bit of the younger voting population.

and at the same time, taken votes away from a legitimate candidate. You really think Colbert was cut out to be the most powerful person in the free world?

Nah, he was a joke...

And those good 'ol boys saw right through him

I really can't wait till about the October of 08, when all the skeletons and ghost from the past start bubbling up on Billary and Julie Annie.
Julies daddy was a bag man and enforcer for the mob.
Billary and hubby have left a death trail where ever they have been, so its going to get rough.
Won't be many left standing, and Ron Paul will be at the top of the stack.
Hide and watch. Gonna be interesting.
