Inverted backwards isn't really 3D, it's just flying backwards inverted. However get the old piros in there and it becomes 3D plus a few dead stop manouvers and plenty of spare parts .
In terms of basics, get cones/piedishes nailed followed by snakes then bung in piros for good measure. That should keep you busy for a while. In additon, get mulipoint tictocs, rainbows and slappers dialed in with a healthy addition of piros and now you're at what's called modern 3D.

This is what I've been trying to work on after getting comfortable with backwards inverted.

Slapper's a cool move you can learn in a day or two.

Non-pirouetting snakes all orientations

Funnels:
nose-up skids-in cw
nose-down skids-in cw
nose-forward skids-in cw
tail-forward skids-in cw
combining all the above into smooth piro-funnel skids-in cw

nose-up skids out ccw
nose-down skids out ccw
nose-forward skids out ccw
tail-forward skids out ccw
combining all the above into smooth piro-funnel skids-out ccw

Still trying to combine all the above into piro-snake

Still trying to keep continuous piroflips in one spot

Got four point tic-tocs (cw and ccw) down good. Still working on pirouretting ones

These should keep you busy for about a good year or so, if you're diligent, and don't have a life like me.

I would like to be working on cones/piedishes slappers but I have no idea what they are. I have seen funnels, snakes, hurricans and basic loops and rolls but other then that a couple of youtube videos has been my link to the 3d heli world. I have g3.5 witch has some vidoes of different moves, maybe I should be taking advantage of that.

Piedishes, Cones, Funnels, Hurricain and Wall of death are basically all the same but at different radii, speeds and attitudes.
A slapper is a simple big rainbow with an aileron 180 degree roll at the top.

Naming

Pie-Dishes, Cones and funnels are all the same right? Is the Wall of Death is a piroetting funnel? What are you calling a Hurricane?

And lastly what is the name for flying a very tight, almost knife-edge eight, so the ground is in the diagonal between the tips of the blades and the skids? I've seen it done with a pause at each end. You start banked over 45' close to the ground, nose out, put in loads of collective and give it forward stick and a dab of tail so you're doing a backwards, skids down turn, then you reverse the driection of the turn about about the middle of the trick, keep rolling right, opposite tail, but now pull back on the cyclic while going full negative collective, putting you very close to the ground again but 45' inverted, before pulling back into the centre of the trick to get back to where you started. This is a great one on the sim if you want to kill a heli every three seconds.

Have you master upright reverse flight? This one seems to
elude many folks, even those able to fly inverted reverse.

The next step would be to do backwards inverted on the real heli and not g3...
