hey i was wondering if anyone knows the main gear size and the pinion gear size on a hawk pro. I just purchased the throttle jockey rev max and in order to set this up before calibration it needs to know the 2 gear sizes. I loked in my instruction manual and was unable to find it. All post will be appreciated and also if anyone has any tips on setting this up that will also be greatly apprecaited lol. Well thank everyone that reviews my post and helps.

I dontknow the answer to any of those Q's but,use a marker and mark on tooth on the gear then take a screw driver place it firmly on the gear and spin it slowly and count the clicks.Thats how I do it.And for the pinion they are usually small so just mark one tooth and spin it slow and just count them.

You cant count the gears with out going thru the whole system as is uses a 2 stage system. I cant remember gear ratio but I think it is in the manual.

Dx7 With Ion Power Supply. Why use anything else.

The stock Hawk is 9.76331:1 ratio.

The government cannot give you anything without first taking it from someone else.

The Hawks and Ravens uses a two stage drive system (they are more efficient then standard single stage power drive systems used in most other helis), so you cannot just use the ratio of the one stage e.g. the maingear to maingear drive pinion as you do in a single stage system:

On the Hawk, the clutch bell pinion has 26T and the primary gear it drives has 55T, for a primary ratio of 2.115/1. The maingear drive pinion has 13T and the maingear has 60T for a secondary ratio of 4.615.

Consequently the net ratio (for setting governors) is as Steve H said:

4.615 x 2.115 = 9.76/1
