i have been saying this for years...yet no one wants to believe me...then they all go Radix, which are made by the same damn people, and is almost the same frickin blade, then go around praising them like the blade from heaven

i tried V blades for a little while...only as beaters, but after they survived a crash without a scratch, i sold them, lol. V blades are garbage in every respect.

i use funkey's glass blades on my 30, Funkey Rotor Techs on my 90, and will soon be on my 50 and 450

if your gonna do it right, you gotta use Rotor Tech.

i too tried a set of vblades on our first pred (flight before the crash...damn things!) and they were slower on cyclic, and made the heli bog more...too stiff IMHO. Radix are awesome blades...but being on team century, its only a way to support the company more, which is my goal.

Where u get the 350mm blades at and at what headspeed are you at on ur Mars 480?

How are these 350mm Rototechs different in performance than other 340mm or 325's? Can you still do hard 3d?

I agree about RT and Radix, they are both first rate blades. The V-blades are good too, but I prefer the responsiveness of the RT/Radix.

Going to have to try to those 350mm RT, do they bog more than a 325?

I give up on Loctite, nothing lasts long enough to vibrate loose anymore.

blades...

I love Rotortechs myself but this statement here is a little over the top
V blades are garbage in every respect.
Vblades are garbage? Man...I need some of whatever you're smoking..

I guess all the 3d pilots that use them must be crazy as well..

i dont really care what other 3D pilots are using to be honest.

i burned 10 gallons through the V's i had. the engine and drive train of the heli were constantly screeming for mercy. not really joking...my gearing would laod up and make an awful screeming sound!!

They bog like hell (and dont tell me i cant manage collective, it was all i was ever doing), and cant auto worth a damn.

my 690 RT auto as good or better then the 710V's i had...isn't that sad?

plus they are too noisy and inefficient.

sorry for the rant...but when i really truly hate something, i show no mercy.

i wonder if any of this is why curtis is using Radix and not V's like he used to...if they were that great, im sure he would still be standing behind them...

flame suit on!

Well ...

if this is true,

I'll stick with Radix, they are 13% less expensive, and I don't have to deal with heli world BS.

Or it could be that he is the one selling Radix.

I'm in the same boat, used some 690's v2 v's and they work great,,,until I tried some Radix and I like them a lot better. The very old V's were pure garbage, for a carbon blade they flexed more than woodies!

Rotortech's are the best blade I have flown so far.

I have flown:

V blades
Radix
SAB
Align
QWW
Mavrik STD and G4
TT

The only blade that comes close is the Radix.
Rotortech all the way.

ENGAGE!!
