What a joke. Why doesn't the guy post openly about it instead of hiding in a PM. Weak.

Note: I don't care what you "shake" just keep posting those sweet videos.

The end result justifies the means. Does anyone think your clients are going to be upset if they find out video was stabilized on a computer? Heck no!

If I felt that sending my tapes to Buddhist monks in the Himalayas to pray over, made the footage smooth...I'd do it if smooth video was the end result!!

Trackhead, I cant believe you published my PM for all to see!

Only kidding

Great footage regardless of any post work. Totally silly to not use the tools available, especially with a task as daunting as the one you are up against. Honestly I am so impressed by the locations you have been flying in lately

Brady,

I AM the client. I do all my own work, and get paid for the end result. No farming to a production house.

And I about fell out of my chair when I read your last paragraph.

DeShaker is no different than Lightroom or Photoshop. It's just another tool in post production that some choose to utilize, and some don't.
You know, Trackhead, now that I know you're using not only a gyro but a HEADING HOLD gyro to help you fly the heli when you took that footage, I have absolutely no respect for you or your work. Real pilots don't use gyros, duh!

>kidding<

Nice clip Track, I'm really impressed at the footage you're getting, especially without a camera man.

Funny thing is KB, is that in full HDV rez, there are no vibes, but the footage is slightly wavy. Either way, unacceptable for the most part. But, I think I'll able to fix it in these temps.
Sounds strange - I recall a similar "wavy" appearance in the footage that I shot with the HD cameras that I tested out too.

I have no doubt that you will be able to identify and correct this problem as you are definitely are at the forefront of HD AP video work. I reckon DJ had better watch out - you may even be sneaking ahead of him in the race!! ;-)

HAHA, i bet my ass your PM'r are reading this, and feel pretty stupid now

You should, cause saying things like these proves only that youre just an envious amateur in whatever you do, and dont have a single clue about what this really is about...

Well guys, i suspect hes got his lesson now

Never argue with an idiot, he'll drag you down to his level and beat you with experience...

Just a shame the skier kept going off shot eh!
