Going over my heli today and noticed my gyro was loose. Tracked it down to a broken mount. Im using a MicroHeli under the boom mount with a 401. Doesnt look fixable. Seems like it would be easy to make one out of some lexan or something. Can anyone who has done this give a brief description and/or pics. Would like to fix it today by visiting the local hardware store if possible.

Thanks!

Easy fix (assuming you have anything besides the original 450, or the XL), throw the microheli one away, and turn your tail block upside down, and file away a tiny bit of the frame and just mount the gyro like on the SEv2. You don't even have to visit the hardware store.

Nice! Good idea! Still gotta go to the hardware store for some two sided tape though. 3M will work right?

Yup, I like the Heavy duty outdoors 3m stuff, it's the kind that's gray with the red backing. I use it on all my helis, hasn't failed yet, I've been using it for years.
