I dont have a pic, but, in the movie "Uncommon Valor" there is a few scenes of one of the guys flying a 47 cropduster. Its yellow and pretty cool. Theres a lot of heli scenes in that movie.

try sean at lhc his vario 47 G-BENNI is in scale colours brown/white/yellow if I remember correctly as its quite a while since I've seen it and its based on the one sean used for crop spraying so he may have some pictures still
(you never know it may give him the urge to give his a clean and service , I've only seen sean fly it twice since 1999)

Geez, no kidding. I thought you were exaggerating, but there's not much out there! Still looking, though.

Seans one is currently white, I flew in it myself a couple of months ago, but he is going to repaint it I believe
Tioli (David)
Thanks for the links, I looked for ages and didn't find the ones you pointed out. See what i mean, there seems to be little or no actual pictures.
It may end up be the usual MASH, or maybe fireengine red with floats-I a=have an Airfix model of that one, and a few others.
Thanks again
Denis

How about you ask Sean to clone his full-scale on your model? Life imitating art for a change!

I'm not on about G-SOL seans white 47 (the one you flew)

it's the one he flew years ago and modeled his vario 47 on , you may have not seen it when you've been at lhc as it hides away in the old shop gathering dust theese days (the model not the full size), if you've ever seen seans video basic scale manoeuvres the vario 47 is pictured on the front
sean flew the full sized one crop spraying

The ones I flew when doing that line of work were either whatever color they left the Bell factory as when initially built or plain old white or yellow. Not many fancy paint schemes on working Bell 47's that I've run across

47

Your are right the cosmetics was the least of the concerns, getting a good mag check, quiet gearboxes and a an engine that would run with the temps out of the red.

Thanks all
I'll lokk in the galleries like you said.
Dave, (Payne) I thought the one I flew in WAS his old one, but it's old reg was G-AZMB so obviuosly not. I have his video and have seen the model- it needs a bit of 'dusting' itself lol.
Thanks to both Dougs too.
