I am flying with XL motor with align 75A ESC. And I heard the BEC from Align is not very reliable. What BEC is reliable for the above setup? Or do I have to upgrade all the align ESC and motor also to have a reliable system? I am only hovering and sport flying with 3 lb aerial equipment. Usually, I fly about 75% throttle.

Also, is the Align Governor mode function properly? I remember the t-450's ESC, didn't.

I haven't heard anything negative about the Align BEC- mine has been quite reliable (only one season thus far though.). I agree that my experience with Align ESC's in the Trex 450 was not very good, the stock equipment in the 600E has been up to the task, and I have been flying it pretty hard recently. Survived a pretty spectacular crash too (in fact, the electronics were nearly the only things to survive that one).

Never, ever, ever, ever give up.

Give the Hercules HBEC 5A. I use it and it saves weight and is good up to 11S.

I've used the 3amp align that comes with the 600e, the 6amp Align, and now a Castle Creations BEC. They all worked well, but I ended up going to the CC, just so that I didn't have to maintain a seperate battery and save some weight. Works great, but is only good to 6s, so if you're using a larger pack, then you'll need something else. The 6 amp Align is now living in my Freya and is working very well.

Hi Jascamera,

ReadyHeli has the Western Robotics Hercules 5A BEC on sale for $39.99 (regularly $58.99). It's supposed to be the best. I just ordered one. Don't want to take any chances with regard to power to my radio.

Keep 'em flying.

The Hercules are sold out. I would love to get my hand on one of those at the price they offer.
