How many of you practice busting the balloons in Phoenix RC? IMO, this is very good training. Definately works my slow/precision flight skills. One thing I work on is bursting balloons in a variety of flight orientations.

Hi racin06

I like busting balloons but I have trouble gauging the distance and height of the balloons, any hints.

If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter.

position the heli line of site between you and the heli or the heli between you and the ballon, fly straight at it and you will get it

in easy mode set to 1min i managed 160s most of the time with a couple of 180s and a 200 :-)

I've played with the balloons but like to play in the water better. The balloons are a bit frustrating.

T-Rex-Flyer, when I first begin, I too seem to have problems with judging depth. The balloons are closer to me than what I judge. After I fly a while though, my depth perception seems to improve. What Adey_Law suggests works for me also.

Here is one to try that I have fun with...attempt to bust the balloons by only flying the heli nose-in towards you. You'll have to fly the heli behind each balloon, with the balloon being between you and the heli...then you just simply (OK, it's not that simple. ) fly the heli towards the balloon nose-in.

Another one that I have tried is only busting the balloons with the heli being flown in the left or right side-in position. This is very difficult, especially until your depth perception improves.

Enjoy!

Shoot for me I just piro-flip around all of the balloons and take them all at once... they call me the Chuck Norris of helicopter flying!! HAHA

Really though I get frustrated/entertained while hunting down the balloons. I really like the pop they make.

Remember when flying inverted that down is up and up is EXPENSIVE!

Wow Phoenix comes with Ballons Too!

Now that you mention it I'm using it more to help with my depth perception and flight orientation.

I'm not very good even in the "easy" mode.....
