I have a gallon on my trex600 with BLS451 x3,611&9256,CSM Gov etc, works fine.I have the older design of the regulator but bought a flightpower 2s 3300mah lipo for it, as standard lipo in the combo deal is 1s, the new design with the regulator and switch housed in its respective boxes looks alot better design and also easier to mount to the heli as the old design aint got a flat surface to add the velco/sticky tabs to. If ya gonna get one get the newest design.

Grand RC has the old style for less than $30- a bargain for so much funtionality.

If you were concerned about reliability of the regulator, I wonder (for $30) if you could just cut off the glow driver part and splice it into, say, an Arizona regulator or whatever you were running. Presto- best regulator, and you have the on-board glow and battery condition LEDs.

I'd need to see everything up close to be sure but I'd bet its possible.

Never, ever, ever, ever give up.

Could anyone provide some insite on this:

??Add filter capacitor for high frequency interference, to efficiently reduce the outside interferences(ex. High speed/torque servos)

Is align suggesting that we should add an additional filter or ?

I'm staying away from them for now. A local here lost three Vibes due to as of yet undetermined causes. The common peices between them all are Spektrum AR9000, Align 2-1 and 8717 servos. I'm not sure what battery, I'm assuming the 1900lipo that comes with the 2-1.

EnrichF,

Maybe it has to do with no having a filter capacitor for high frequency interference, to efficiently reduce the outside interferences(ex. High speed/torque servos) ?

This is what i'm trying to confirm.

Nas,

From what I understand the 8717 servos need a lot of current, and running a 90 with those servos on a 1900mAh (cheapo) lipo doesn't seem like a good idea.

I'm ordering the $30 old style 2-in-1 from Grand RC by the way... then I'll put a little silicone on the wires for strain relief and enjoy the reliability that most seem to be getting from this regulator/glow driver

Never, ever, ever, ever give up.

Both of my 600N's are on the 2 in 1 and loving every minute. Onboard glow kicks ass and I've never had any glitches with at least 100 flights.

I did however remove it from my Vibe and put back in a Duralight regulator, if it didn't cost 400 bucks to recover that heli from a crash it would still be on the 2 in 1. Would Align hurry up and release that Trex 700 please!
