Any opinions of the kong 3S 2200mah packs in the 450's? Gonna go for those or TPX V2 2200's...I know the TPX are a bit lighter. Tried the search.

I just bought one at the same time i bought a FP 2170 3s. The kong power has more power and for much longer without having to worry about timing flights. I think you will be very happy with the kong power.

I have both the Kong Power 2200 and the new TP2200 Extreme V2 on my 450 V2. The Kong Power is a heavier pack on the bench but in flight, I don't notice any difference. Both have excellent power.

The Kong Power fits without any problems.

I fly the heli pretty aggressively. You can't go wrong with either pack.

I've been flying them for a few months, they're great. Very good power, and the weight isn't noticable in the air.

I have the air thunders which are supposed to be the same. I have about 20 flights on them and I'm very happy with their power and how much longer my flights are.. I was barely getting 6 min from my dn packs I can easily get 8 min with these and still don't hit the 80% mark....

Tom..... No "D" flying....

I've had the Kong Powers for about 2 1/2 months now, I have a total of 5 packs, and each pack has had probably 30-40 flights and they are still good.

Heres my Setup
---------------
Machine: Trex 450se V1 hybrid v2
Motor: Align 430XL
Pinion: 13 tooth
Blades: Align 3k Carbon Fiber Blades
Headspeed: Haven't tached it, but i'm guessing over 3000 rpms.

Battery Usage Info
---------------------
Flight time: 4:20
MAH Consumption(avg for 5 packs): 1720 - 1790mah
Charge rate: 2.2amps
Charge time: about 52 minutes is the average
Charging Voltage Peak: 12.60v
Resting voltage after charging & balancing: 12.56v - 12.58v

I can say that aside from it being a slight heavier, it is dollar for dollar worth every gram in weight. But the weight isn't really a problem, since running a 9650 on the tail makes the weight shift back, the Kong Pow packs equilizes it and brings back the heli to its balancing point. I don't have much experience with other packs(used DN Power before) but the Kong Pows are definite winners. It provides consistent power through any demanding manuevar and it continues till the end.

Holy Cow.....that is a big draw for that flight time on a standard set up. I run TPX 2200 for 6:30 on a timer and never have to put back more than 1400. Man you must be torturing that poor little bird.

Im loving these packs. With my FP EVO25 packs I could always tell when I was near my 5 minute mark because of drop off. I could always feel the loss so I would land and then my timer would go off right as I was landing. With the KP, since the power is good throughout, the timer is going off while Im still performing poorly executed tic tocs
