Hi Guys,
I have a problem that the Heli felts like I have some +expo in the middel of the pitch stick. With my 9z I had 13 points for the pitch curve so no problem. But the DX7 only have 5.
I miss an - expo funktion for the pitch stick, it only have for ail, elev and tail. Can I solve this problem otherwise?
I cna not do extreme pitchpump?
Thank you for your help.

regards from Denmark

Dear Janis,

It would be better to invest some of your free time in setting up cyclic and pitch servos as much as possible linear.
Maybe, your ex TX and its 13 curve points, have made you a little bit lazy. :-)
Now, that you have less points, you have to proceed with an absolute linear setup.
Moreover, in case that your heli is CCPM you have this option in Swash type menu, I think.

Good Luck mate

Hello,

@Itsindilas
I have always a linear curve. I did only change the Pitch arround centerstick in my 9Z to get it morecrisp.
I thought the problem was that I use V-Bar, but I have the same behavior in my T-Rex 600N.
The god thing is that I use a new V-Bar version in my NT and there they add a feature called pitch pump which does the same. Its an negativ expo to get it crisp arrounD centerstick.

Yes all my Helis are ccpm.
I think i will have to live with it in my T -Rex since there is an older Version of the V-Bar installed

Neg expo

At this point in the thread I would have to suggest emailing Paul Beard and/or the Specktrum people for possible P-mix workaround. It seems as if your servos are fast enough with 5.9 v.

Another consideration might be to fly the Vblades as they are so stiff along with the cg location that they've always made me more honest around center stick. It's what Iv'e always loved and hated about them.

Loved it when I got it right and looked good doing it, and well you know the other side of that scenario. good luck and regards,
Mike

PM Paul right here from RR. He`s more than Happy to help out.

What I`m hearing is the stiffness of the blades with a V-Bar setup is pretty noticable whether soft or stiff.

Hello

Ok I have Maniacs 600 on my Trex 600 and they are stiff.
On the NT I use the SAB 710 224 or 225 and they are stiff too

Amd I am sorry to say but the V-Blades are out of my price range.
Too Expensive to me.

Why not just steepen the idle up pitch curve?
Set number 1 and 2 position at 0. Set 4 and 5 at 100%

Let's think about this. Janis wants the heli crisper around mid stick. Well, if you think about it, what pitch setting is usual around mid stick? It is most likely 0 pitch, right? If you want the heli crisper around mid stick vis a vis pitch pumping, you have to move the 25% and 75% pitch points closer to mid stick so you get an "S" shaped pitch curve out of the radio. In addition, you have to have some higher revs to make the heli feel crisper. To my knowledge, you can't move the 25% and 75% points on the DX like you can on a Stylus or some other radios, so you will have to change the values at each point in question in an effort get the pitch change from the 25% to 75% position on the collective stick to have a much larger pitch change in a shorter distance than a linear curve will provide. How can that be done?

Good question isn't it?

One way is to run more pitch than you really need but don't use it all except when you need to. You just get in and out as needed to give the heli the feeling that it is more powerful than it really is. Just be prepared to load the head from time to time.

Yes thats my point here. And that was easy with my old 9Z WC II.
There where several points near midstick.
The DX7 has only point 25 and 75 and they are too far away from the 0 point at mid stick.

But I will have to live with it on my Rex 600 N or just buy secondew V-Bar with the PitchPump feature
