I tried posting this on the main forum but got no responses...how do you check the condition of batteries with lots of flights on them?more exactly how do you measure the EXACT capacity of a battery to see how much has been lost over time???

Fully charge it, then discharge to the minimum voltage and see what capacity the charger shows has been taken out.

Eg for NiCds/NiMH cells, discharge to 0.9v/cell, for LiPos discharge to 3v/cell. You will get a higher reading the lower the discharge rate, I discharge at 1amp which gives a good indication under load.
