I would like to know if anyone can recommend where to buy a metal fan for the Hirobo Freya using the OS 90 engine?

I would also like to know can anyone give some advice which fuel is the best to reduce smoke? I know that you have to have some smoke but my heli produces a fog, see pics. I am currently using the cool power 30% heli fuel.

From the looks of it, I'd say that you are running on the rich side. You may want to lean it out. I take it the motor is broken in. I run coolpower 30%, also.

There was a gentleman here in the RR classifieds that was selling CNC fans for the Freya and XSpec. I don't remember the name (Roy something) but try doing a search and he should turn up.

EDIT If you go to the other heli site (freak) and look up mroy0404, he is the one with the fans.

I think he's the chap I bought a metal fan from for my Freya. If I recall, he's no longer doing them, or no longer a member on RunRyder

I found the PMs, it was mroy0404, he's no longer a member here, but there is an mroy0404_2007 person - and I see from this thread he's still selling them

I've tried several types of 30%
Wildcat smokes a lot less. The least of all.
Still smokey, but you will not not fog up your whole village
(Never tried the coolpower low smoke fuel btw)

Many guys doing filming or photo shots use a gasser helicopter just for that reason,,no smoke and very long run times and big payload capacity.

Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them
