Dusted off the old CP Pro for a spin, and forgot one of the golden rules.

Check the tail blade for slipping.

Woops... took off in a nice hover... got the feel for it back... was hovering on my crowded porch 10'x10' no problem. Started to slide sideways out of the porch, pulled the tail around nice and smooth, almost in a nice scale turn, added some banking to pull around and head the other way... all the sudden... wrong way! wrong way!! oh crap! *SMACK*

Oh well... i got alittle hyper at the parts store, so i have 3 of everything....

Lost the tail blade (literally... it flew off next door which is a nature preserve), lost the tail grommet, lost one of my training wheels (hehe.. you heard me dammit), and lost one of the grommets that holds on one of the other "ping pong ball".

total loss... bout 10 bucks...

Not bad... but i tend to break something everytime i take it out :-( Guess thats why i haven't taken it out in about 1 year.

Anyone else like to fly in the winter evenings? :-)

i had my "training wheels" on since i did to many mods at once...

Plasti-blades + new swash + flybar weights. Didn't want to tip it over while trimming it out...

I have to tell you tho... for someone who has flown the pro once or twice in my passed... the flybar weights work against me.

I think you are using the stock tail? I remember always pushing on the little piece of fuel tubing as part of my pre-flight check list...

I wonder if someone has a "CPP Pre-Start Check List" in a printable form, for just these reasons?
