Hi guys

Well the story is pretty simple. About a year and a half ago I bought myself a Hornet X3D so I could fly during winter days when I couldn't make it to the field. After 3 short flights hovering in my living room (that was stupid) I crashed into my dinning table. I got rather irritated with the "glue things" part so in a act of complete madness (I can't explain it otherwise) I got myself EVERY Duzi upgrade in the book so I wouldn't have to deal with glue in the rebuild. Well, truth is that I finished the mechanical setup and before I was able to finish it I completely lost interest in the bird. It hurts my heart everytime I walk into my hobby room and look at that shiny X3D on the shelf knowing I will never fly it or get half of that money I dug into it.

So now my question... what should I do?

a) Put it on sale on ebay and cry my heart out when the time comes to send the bird to the buyer for half a dozen of dollars.

b)Grab it and bin it so I don't have to look at it anymore

c)Give it to some poor kid that probably doesn't care either and hurts himself in the process and I'll end up with his mom running after me.

Any ideas?

Tony

EDIT: I moved the topic out of the Hornet forum so I would get more answers. Sorry about that

Not an option... "I will never fly it"... I think I hate it. I wasn't made for micro sized helis... maybe its my age?

Nice idea though

I think you should at least fly it a few times with the Duzi upgrades - I have about all the Duzi upgrades myself and the thing is amazingly smooth once the tracking is dialed in perfect - The only Duzi part I haven't been able to use is the coolest of them all the main gear - It keeps tearing through pinions every flight so I went back to stock gear and pinion

I rarely fly it anymore either but that's because I don't keep enough parts on hand for it and rarely get around to ordering any because my BCP has been quicker and easier to fix with local available parts - I definitely plan on keeping mine and flying it as I get around to ordering parts because I love it so much and know I'll never get enough out of it to compensate my sentimental loss

well, keep it as a static "this is how it works" display model. I've recently talked with some 6th grade kids about how airplanes and heli's work. It was a lot more meaningful with my Trex and mini-Pulse in hand.

Cornster: Its not about what I want since that is completely out of the question (I dumped well over $900 dollars in it - Ok, here I'm crying on the keyboard again...) Plus I'm sure that if I put it up for sale for like $500 nobody would touch it.

However, maybe I'll put it up in the sale section for the best offer.

Post me some pics of the ship and what you are including with it and I may just take it off your hands.
