Folks

I know this is a very basic question but would appreciate some experienced help to make sure before I try a test flight....

I recently bought a used Maxi Joker and have installed new electrics and re-setup. I notice that the main blade pitch increases when the swash plate goes DOWN and not UP. All my other heli's work in the opposite way. I've checked the instruction manual (which is pretty thin on detail) but can't see that I have anything wrong. I've had to reverse the sense on my transmitter and it seems to work fine. But just want to check that this is normal?

Thanks

Andrew

You can flip your blade grips around so that pitch control leads the blades. This way the pitch will look normal to you (cyclic up increases pitch). I have been flying like this for over a year with no problems.

I wonder why they recommend setting up the heli this way... Anyone???

I don't know what the newer CD J2 manuals state but the older printed versions that came with the CX and earlier gave you the option of leading edge, trailing edge, clockwise or counter clockwise set ups.

It shouldn't make any differnce I would think.
