I can't find it, but I remember a discussion about dampeners for the struts, replacing the struts spacers.
Can anyone point me to such dampeners?
Thanks,
Avi.

I found this one:

It's a JR Ergo 60, and after consulting the manual it does have a 3mm hole (like my X-Cell). Anyone familiar with something more to date?

I have these on my Xcell Gasser

I put these on my Xcell gasser over a year ago and it helped with the vibration quite a bit. I later replaced the bearings that were causing the vibrations and have decided to keep the damper on as I had been cracking the lower L brackets.

At first I was concerned that they seem to flex (shear) too much and was told that they are designed to shear on impact so as to save the frame.

Leon, actually, what you wrote made me think that I might better not put such dampeners on. I wanted them for absorbing vibrations when on the ground. However, if they mask vibrations by not showing them on the skids, then this is not good.
I prefer seeing veibrations on the skids and solving them on time rather than having a stable heli on the ground for a few seconds before taking off / after landing, but with masked vibrations.
So thanks!

does not completely mask the vibrations

It does not do away with the vibrations and they are still (allbeit somewhat less in the skids) noticeable there and in other parts of the heli so they the vibrations are not masked to the point of going un-noticed. The benifit I have noticed is that I have not had a cracked lower frame. I think they are an option but should not be used to attempt to solve a problem with vibration.

Those dampers look just like the ones MSD uses for there ignition boxs and coils to isolate the vibration. You can get a set of 4 $6.99 at any speed shop.
