I like keeping the shaft in the grips and using a dial indicator to check it. Some slight bends can go undetected even in the bladegrips. A dial indicator is the undisputed way to go.

Another way to check it that also detects very slight bends is to tape a laser pin light to the end of a blade and spin the other end of the spindle watching the beam on the wall. The further out the beam is the more it will move. I used this method before I got a d. indicator.

really? Would have sworn its the 222
Visually they arent much different other than the skid which isnt replicated correctly on mine, the intakes, and the main gear fairings.

Internally the 230 had bigger engines and an improved avionics suite.

The easiest way for me to check for bent shafts is to think back:

Did I just crash?

I don't recall having either shaft or a main bearing survive intact.

Cuda why didn't you tell us that earlier ??

You know how too hurt a guy ! I've' done it the hard way now three times just tooo check - and I could of done the Hockey ! Yeeshee - and more acurate resolution as measured at the tip.
