Don't be confused by the -5... -9... settings if you are doing 10ft auto's... If you slam the collective down at 10ft high you will most likely dig a nice deep hole before you correct. "Baby" auto's at that height require little if no negative collective. Just take it to 0 pitch and let it fall to about 4 ft high.. then feed in positive and set her down. You will be surprised how long it will hold at 3 to 4 feet before you run out of headspeed.

well im now doing my autos from over 200 feet up...every bit of info you guys gave me helped ....i like the way the rappy 50 titan autos.. its predictable and nimble.....im running -10 +11...and ive been having a blast.. the first time i went to auto from that high up... man did i get a rush from it...what i did find was that 10 foot high autos did start to put me in the dead zone.. i realized i need more hieght for more time to let the head spool up... well again thanks for all the help...hd63

On a windy day you can really come in with a shallow glide path and land almost like an airplane.

Now go and mark a 10' circle and put a park in the middle of it, like a leaf or something and try to end the auto with the nose just covering that spot. if you save the headspeed till the end you can steer the landing around hovering 6" off the deck for the spot landing.
