I don't know that much about the Raptor 90, but I'll learn as I go like usual.

I'll be ordering stuff for it soon.

Take it nice and slow too Mitch on the 90 build.

And ask lots of questions, especially on the Raptor Nitro section here on RR. Best place on any forum to get answers IMO.

And when u get fustrated and things don't go right, remember that its a Nitro and not an electric.

I'm still fine turning my Knight after about a month of owning it. Then again, I don't go out and fly everyday like u guys do!!!

I am taking it easy, looks like I made a good choice with the raptor. Not a lot of parts and relatively inexpensive to repair.

It will probably take me a month or so to get it flying.

Guys, any advice on making the linkages for the 450 head? When I first go mine I got Jason to do it but now I can't These things are pos. I can't get the stupid links on to the darn rods and it doesn't work. Ughhh. Can someone help me please

Anything you can do I can do on crack.
another thing i like more about the dragonus
the link ends are beveled out a little so that the rod gets started easier

mitch, let me know what kinda stuff you are looking at buying for the raptor and we can talk about it. also, you WILL make mistakes on the build, including proper radio settings, some mechanical failures etc. i went through it, long went through it, victor, and everyone else who got their first nitro will go through this, its just of the learning curve. fortunately you can ask and have people help you out in person anytime. so dont worry when anything happens.

sean, to open up those ball links, take a pair of plyers hold it nice and firm, take an xacto and gently carve out the hole on the link just alittle bit and then screw it on. this is why i always encourage you at the field to do your own things.

I want all the power I can get for the 90, what pipe is best? I don't think you can get too much power, it can be a biotch to manage it, I don't think I'll be able to get too much power.

I'll go on a shopping spree this weekend and order everything else I need.

Thanks for the offer Jason. I'll likely take you up on any help I can get, maybe I can get some help from Bert also, since he's a TT pilot and knows the Raptor well. I'm sure I'll have to tweak some things but I plan on having all my ducks in a row on the 90.

mitch, do you remember that guy Dave's raptor 90 i flew last weekend. simple components and not the best of stuff and it flew really well.

i will say this again, those rotortech blades he had flew very well, and i know he was running an os 91 but not sure which one and i know he had a aftermarket type pipe on there, but even with his "light" settings, it was still very 3dable. id check out what he has engine wise. you can of course get a different pipe for just a tad more performance.

we can talk about servo choice, regulators, batteries, gov, etc on the weekend.

I think Dave is using the OS 91SZ-H Ringed and yours is the 91SX-H Ring C Spec w/Pump. Get the Muscle Pipe 5. That is one of the best tuned pipes for os engines.

DX7 Gyro seetings

I'm trying to set up my Medusa heli's gyro to use the gear switch to change from HH to rate. I can't seem to find the setting to switch it to the gear switch. I've got gear set to gyro, but in the gyro sensitvity screen, I've got the choice of rudder d/r or flight mode. How do you get it to switch over to gear?

dan, disable the gyro sense menu and use the travel adjust menu instead. go to your channel 5 or gear on your travel adjust and on both menus, select about 55/55 for HH and rate.
