Been reading these posts with a lot of interest. The man is desperate to get a genuine sale and you guys jerk him around... WAY TO GO. I'm up in London on friday, I'll go and do a knock to see if the resident has any knowledge of how their address is being used for a scam. It'll give me something to do on my time off.

No...dam trade names!
This is the website of the eTracker Pro program:

http://www.emailtrackerpro.com/index.html

they are showingg the standard edition for 15.00 usd
and the advanced edition for 35.00 usd

for 15 dollars it is a good buy I think.

however, if your able to read thhe hheaders from hhis email thhen your doing pretty muchh the same thingg as this proggram ecept this does it and shhows you all the paths and final destination. showingg the isp closest to him might be a help in trackingg him down.

Hello
I asked my sister in law yesterday to take a picture of the package. As i said i am not in London and she is taking care of all the arangements for me.I have some urgent business outside London and i need the money as soon as possible. She has a friend who works for a shipping company and that should be ok so don't worry. I will send it by express shipping. It costs about £150 .That is about 700 us dollars but we will split that so send me only $350.Please send the payment as soon as possible today and i will send all the shipping details as soon as i can.
Thank you

My reply to the ratbag:

Dear Vmer,
Good news!! My friend David Devos is in London, so I gave him your sister in laws address and all payment ($5000).
Please re-confirm this is her address:
Julia Carbone
Address: 121A Harley Road, London, NW10 8AY
My friend says he knows where that is. He will bring the heli back to US with him. So we both save on the shipping cost!
Please inform you sister in law he is coming tomorrow or day after.
Regards,
BB

From me:
I have sent the $1075.00 by WU and sent the MTCN by overnight Fedex to your address.
It was sent to:
Adams William
3610 Oakmount Ave
Atlanta, GA 30340

Sending the MTCN over the internet is dangerous because there are some dishonest persons who might tap in and use the number to collect befor you can get to it.
Any way all the info is in the overnighjt letter for you to collect the money.
FROM Scammer:

Date: Sun, 25 Nov 2007 09:05:40 -0800
From: vmer900@yahoo.com
Subject: Re: Western Union

And what is the senders name? yours?I can verify if the money is there so i can prepare the shipping.I haven't received anything yet from fedex.
From me:
My sister sent the WU so I'm not sure what name she used. The package has all the info as to names and MTCN so that should give you all the info you need. She lives cross town so I will pickup a copy of the WU paperwork tonight.

Jack
Again, I'll let Rusty know the money has been sent.

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

I like the bit about the overnight letter...drags it out for him and forces him to use a legitimate address.

This was explained somewhere in page 2 or 3 Hogs (thereabouts).

And anyway, he's trying to sell the heli to AT LEAST 3 different guys at the same time.

actually that is a good question.
if you look at this guys responses and delaying tactics and only wanting to use western union and escrow services for payment...this really points to a scam.

However, all the playing with him has just raised his alertness of what we are doing to him.

so my thoughts are to let the guys who are in contact with him just continue up to the point of sending money without making it sound like your on to him and then bail out because of hardship or meteor hitting their house or something.
then just stop all the messing with him and let him relax and feel that he can do it again.
when he does do it again and he probably will, then bid on it with reasonable bids to make him feel it is real.
If anyone actually bids on it find a way to contact them and let them know what we're doing so we can continue to bid and win the auction.
then use his own methods against him...delaying tactics, and phony MTCN numbers to make him go to the trouble of trying to get the money or then pull the cashiers check on him where he has to use a legitimate address which he will not do, so we persist in only wanting to do the transaction this way.
What this will do is just make him waste his time and frustrate him to no end.

finally whoever got the winning bid and is using the cashiers check just tell him no that this is the only way your going to send payment and cancel the sale on him. Just waste his time.
That is all we can really do since eBay and the police aren't going to do anything to catch him.

this guy is ignorant of heli's so he/she doesn't know anything about them, but he/she is not stupid. they know how to run the scam to not get caught and smart enough to stick to their rules so they do not leave themselves open to being caught.
so we just use his rules against him and just frustrate him without tipping our hand as to what is happening.

Good thought and point however;
Let's not forget the onboard gyro DJ asked about
here is his response to my question about the "laserscopic gyro"
yes is Futaba Propo laserscopic infrared gyro..

This i starting to get entertaining now

If he realizes somone are going to pay him/her a visit, he will of course come up with some reassons not do that, and i cant wait to see what that is...

But why dont any of you ask him for his nbr so you can hear his voice, tell him that you just want to make sure its real because there are so many scammers out there

and dont tell me he havent got any cell, anyone have it today, even the kindergarden children have their own nowadays...

OK, here is my current dialog with this scammer.

FROM SCAMMER:
Date: Mon, 26 Nov 2007 08:28:56 -0800
From: vmer900@yahoo.com
Subject: RE: Western Union
To: ironhorsetwo@hotmail.com

If you can send me a copy of the WU paperwork via email would be great
FROM ME :
I will get the paper work tonight, she works as a teacher and I can't contact her during the day.
Do you think that Emailing the paper work is safe ?. Since our emails are not encrypted any one who has the knowledge can see the info on the internet and cash in the Western Union payment. By the way, where is this helicopter located, I have a week off and maybe drive up and pickit up and pay you in person. That way we can meet and shoot the bull about helicopters ...
See, I am a nice friendly fellow. I don't get mad, I get even !

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

Go to WU and fill out a transfer form, but black out the MTCN. He is trying to get that info.
