Sounds like you guys got a lot of flying in this weekend too! It was great down here. Couldnt be better in mid March. I got some photos of my Vibe 50 in action today. My buddy missed all the best ones though. oh well. I burned almost 2 gallons thru the vibe since Friday though.

Freakin' newguys, it's NORTHWEST MICHIGAN HELI PILOTS, can't teach'em nothin', tell them to hit throttle hold and they punch themselves between the legs. Call 'em MORON and they hit idle up 1 & 2.

Easy there Hainenator I was just poking fun at our man onequick96gt aka viberator, he needs to make a trip up to hang with us.

Hainen, were you drooling over a csm gyro/sirrus servo combo on ebay that got you so excited you missed the point of my post?

Fun fly

The KAMPS, club in Kalkaska will have a fun fly as part of the National Trout Festival happenings on Sunday April 26, 2009, people usually start showing up around 10-11am and the actual show for the public starts at 1:00pm. Bring a jacket, it is usually cooler and windy that day. We could make a big showing there! Chief

The KAMPS field is north of Kalkaska on 131 to Seeley Rd then go 1 mile west and the feild is on the corner of Seeley Rd and Bebee Rd, no fee to fly.

Lets hope they have decent weather this year. The last 3 years I've been there have been cold and windy. We had a decent showing last year I thought. We flew a lot more than the airplane guys did!

See Wings19 on that one, he is doing some talking and checking on that one, the old organizer will be gone in May so whatever the group comes up with will be interesting. There is a big calendar void from Early May to Mid June and the weather is good then.

TC Fun Fly

I can reserve the dates for a fun fly at the TRAMPS field in Traverse City like we have done the past two years if there are people that want to do it again.

I would like to do it so who would be interested?

Make it a funfly with some events like the "Knock Over the Beer Can" hovering contest, or the random CD3D, you have a stack of CD's from the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, Metal, Punk, Country & Western, Disco etc, get a big loud boom box and have the pilot on the flightline ready to fly to whatever comes up from a random drawing. Just my suggestions.

Sounds good, I think it is a good idea to do some contests. Maybe I can get the club to fork over some dough for prizes (gift certificates).

I would like to come and I was talking to busyflyin about this tonight. I would be fine just coming up to fly normally all day but contests would be fun too! Let me know as soon as you figure out a date.

I am looking into May 16. Let me get with the club and see what I can arrange and I will let you guys know. I know we can get the field but things like concessions are what I'm not sure about. I just want to get people together and fly. I'm not sure that I am up to organizing a huge event with all the trimmings. I will be in my last month of school so I will be busy with that.

Do you guys think it would still be worth doing if I just got the field and posted the dates to get a bunch of people together even if we didn't have concessions and what not?

I am going to talk to the club and see if they want to put that on though. So it isn't ruled out yet.
