I just received my XPS system and took it for a test flight (with a Futaba 8UAFS on FM). Before I would get twitching servos with my Nitro T-rex 600 with it off and stationary. No twitching with the XPS. Second when you connect the starter shaft it always caused interference. The metal to metal contact twitching was gone as well.

Bottom line, my 3 flights today went flawless.

Time to buy 5 more receivers for my planes now!

I have my 9C converted to XPS and all (4) of my helis have (8) channel RX's. (2) Synergy N9, (1) carbon frame X-spec with a scale body and my rappy 50. Never an issue, makes going to a funfly even better without waiting for the freq pin!

Fly it like you stole it!

Don't get me wrong it is a great product but the lack of availability hurts this product.

This a typical Futaba situation with FM. I know JR doesn't do it with any of my equipment but my futaba equipment does.

Interesting that the Futaba gear would have the twitching.

eheliflyer, what do you mean it is not available? I ordered online and got my system within 1-1/2 weeks (and Thanksgiving was in the middle).

Just a comment here (nothing really meaningfull to add yet), but I just bought an XPS TX module and five receivers. I've installed the TX module in my JR9303, four of the receivers, and have flown two of them. So far, all are doing well with no problems. They range check slightly better than spec.

Cool to not have to worry about impound or frequency flag. Now if I can just get used to not having the weight of the antenna on the TX.

I have no way of testing it, but by the specs on the two, it should be better.

Yes, by spec it is fast - no in reality. The XPS system itself is fast and has extremely fine resolution BUT it relies on the data given it by the radio via the PPM stream. So, it is only as fast and precise as the data fed into it. It will be faster than most PCM radio setups BUT it isnt as fast as the native 2.4 radios are, and its resolution depends on the host radio.

Mind you, XPS is plenty fast and precise - but if we are getting into the reality of things - the newer native 2.4 stuff, like the X9303, is faster overall.

But, its only faster because it was designed to be. Not because its "native" 2.4. Like you said, its dependent on the PPM stream of the radio, and comparatively there arent many radios that are that fast.
