"Upgrade to CCPM. The heli will fly a lot better"
Lots of opinions on that statement so I will just cover my experience with the frame.
I just finshed putting everything from the plastic HDE frame into this carbon one.
Only had time to do 3 trimming flights but it definatley feels more responsive.
There were a couple of issues when putting it together, and excuse the lack of terminoligy here.
The servos need to be mounted into the front ali frame before mounting it to the main frame for ease, and the plastic nuts with the flat side for mounting the servos, the idea being that you dont have to hold them when tightening the hex screw as the flat side presses against the servos doesnt work with Hitec HS55 servos.
Screws in the ali collective pitch control arm had so much lock tight that I mangled one head and gave up trying to take it apart.
Had a devil of a job getting rid of some slop on one of control levers but got there in the end, any problems here should be tackled before putting in the collective pitch control arm.
There were threaded bolts were you might expect bolts with a shoulder.
The lenght of some of the push rods were to long and you couldnt get down to the sizes in the instructions without busting the plastic link.
Still I like to build and they were minor issues, happy to say that my 2150 FP battery fitted with no problem as well.
But we are talking about an Align product I supose so you might get luckier.
Now I am waiting for the price of that ali Precision Elevator Control Set from microheli to be slashed and I will buy one.
Have to say the frame does look good
