Took my new Raptor Titan out for some hover practice. She's locked in and I am hovering in side orientation with confidence. After several tanks of fuel through the Raptor, I pulled out my Blade CP Pro and put it into for forward flight for the first time(don't care if I crash it!) Did left and right circles, brief nose in hover and figure eights. I lost orientation due to distance and not having the fuselage on it, but managed to set it down without damage
Life is good!!

Congratualtions. I hovered for about a month then I purchased a simulator and five days later I was putting my heli in flight and returning safely to the ground. If you have a sim it will greatly improve your tutelage. There is no comparison to real flight but done right it can help you advance much quicker.

Congrats!

I have a sim and still suck, but I feel confident while doing it!

The SIM is great! I use the G 3.5 and it has helped me with hovering in all orientations.
