More trouble from the new guy.

Before I could find out if my spin problem had been resolved, My transmitter seems to have dumped its programing and the servos don't behave correctly. I've gotten most of the progaming done accept the fore and aft cyclic inputs are now coming from the collective side, and the to collective control inputs are now comming from the cyclic side. So I'm left with Fore/Aft cyclic and Tail rotor on the left, and left and right cyclic and throttle on the right. It's pretty hard to fly that way I've read the instuctions and haven't figured out how to flip the two. Anyone out there with the Futaba 6EX who knows where I went wrong and how to fix it?

I assume you've got a Trex450s from your other posts.

It sounds like you need to reverse your elevator servo on the TX

This should then make the swashplate stay flat and move up and down when you move the collective stick up and down.

If it's the wrong way, change the sign of pitch on the swash afr screen (SAFR I think) .e.g. from Pitch +50 to -50 (to start with)

now you should have collective control going the right way.

Then look at the values for elevator and aileron +/- and adjust as necessary.

This should get you started. Have a think about what's being changed here, and try and figure it out.

I should add: it's probably a good idea to try and figure out why you lost the program - was it something you've done / not understood, or was it really the transmitter just "forgot them". If it's definately the latter (and it probably isn't) then you should get that seen to...

Still more difficulty

I don't know if anyone is still looking at these old posts, but I can still use some help programing my Futaba 6EX transmitter. I've got almost everything re done accept my collective is reversed, The transmitter acts as if when the collective lever is at 100% when the lever is in the full down position, How do I fix this?

The information is in my post. It might not be worded very well.

Did you understand what I wrote?

I tried what you wrote, but now I have the servos going the wrong way, The servos were doing fine it was just the lever on the collective on the transmitter is backwards. when plug in the helicopter with the pitch full down the Helicopter acts as if the pitch is full up even when the blades are flat pitch. the ESC makes all kinds of noise and the motor wont start. now if if power up the helciopter with the pitch full up, and the blades at max pitch, the Helicopter acts like its at flat pitch and the blades start turning as I bring the lever back down towards me. So I guess my question is how do I get the transmitter to to know that when the lever is full down that the helicopter is at flat pitch?

Are you sure you have the right model selected in your transmitter? Selecting the wrong stored model memory will make it look like your transmitter went nuts and lost its mind.

Beyond that, it would appear you don't know how to program a CCPM (I'll assume that's your problem) setup in your transmitter.

The speed control is a different issue, perhaps all you need to do THERE is reverse the throttle channel so it arms with the stick at low, instead of high.

The fourth and fifth posts here:

http://www.runryder.com/helicopter/t206926p1/

will get your CCPM radio correctly operating the swash servos. It's written around a JR radio, but works for ANY radio -- as long as you can find the three plugs for the three servos -- ELEVATOR, AILERON, and PITCH.

Read it, understand it, and do it. Once you understand WHAT you're doing, it takes all of about 5 minutes to get the servos moving correctly.

And make sure you have the right model selected in the TX each time you go to fly.
