So,after practicing my hovers and slow FF for months I got a sim(2 weeks ago) and been putting in time on that...MOnday I need to send my TX to FUTABA for some warranty work...So I decide that if I'm not gonna fly for about 2 weeks I'm gonna try my first loop today so if I wreck I have plenty of time to rebuild....Go to the field(usually fly in the backyard)and I did my first loops,4 to be exact. Now I'm as happy as can be about that....After a short break to calm down I go up for some hover practice and damn dont I bury it!!!Nothing major new main blades and a spindle...So I come home to rebuild for more punishment....When rebuilding I notice one of my pitch links to the main blade grips is gone....and its one of the FEW parts I dont have on handThe HBK2 ball links are different than my MINI TITAN links so no go there....So back I go to the field, go to where I think I crashed and after about 10 min of searching I FIND THE LINK...I cant believe it!?!, I actually found it in the grass!!!So back home snap on the link and up in the air for more flying time...and I actually did some loops today...This was the coolest day of my short heli career yet

Congrats buddy...I knew that you could do it Sux about the crash(figures it's while you aren't trying something new) but at least you found all the parts. Try not to go insane while Futaba patches up your TX

Depleting the world of parts, one crash at a time!!

I love my MINI but haven't risked anything on that yet,my HBK is my risk taker, its WAY cheaper to fix....rolls are next but I cant seem to get them clean on the sim,the heli seems to drift one way or another...Any tips on getting clean rolls?

Nice one!

I sometimes think I should take a metal detector with me when I fly. Useful for finding those bits.

not sure on how i do it .... i cant take my eyes off the heli but it feels like if i roll to right i give neither pos or neg pitch in the roll.. know wat i mean, its just right aileron stick movement n thats it.. no up or down on pitch...

ha,, had a look on the sim 2 see how i was doing it... as i go in to the roll i give a little bit of neg pitch.... its like wen u fly a plane n do a slow barrel roll.. a touch of down elevator wen your inverted to keep the nose up..... also having good foward speed helps.

doing new tricks can mess with the brain..

You get so worked up about the trick you forget the basics..

Technically it is called.... Brain Fade or F@#ked you choose

Happens to plankers when we land.. we stop flying it as soon as the wheels touch the ground and the plane runs off the runway either to the right or left.. and the pilot stands there dumbfounded.

In life there is no spacebar!
