so far Im adding on the GY401 Gyro with servo, Futaba GV-1 Governor, MAV Header Tank and Bracket, and a Rear servo mount.

Think of anything else? I already have allot of aluminum on this thing, all aluminum arms and head, along with an aluminum/carbon tail housing.

I'd get a different governor like the revlock or the multigov.

Leave the tail servo where it is thats not an upgrade.

Instead of weighing it down with aluminum you're better off turning it into a 50

Whats a 420 gyro?

Yes it is 30V1 or at least it started out that way. It still is power by OS32 and take off at uplift weight 10.5lbs. I call it the Can-Do machine.

Hard job competing with gravity.

IMO it would be best to upgrade it to a 50 all the parts are practically the same.

upgrading to a 50 dosn't help my gyro problem. all it does is causes me to spend more money on something I don't need.

moving tail servo to rear doesnt do much on a rappy, and when the tail servo is on the tail it is subject to alot more elements and will fail sooner. also if you crash you have a better chance of totalling it.

Yes two man operation with 12 channels. I move the servo to the tail far aft as I could to move C of G aft. On my other machine I moved the gyro to aft frame mount set up. I like it better just cleaner not a noticeable improvement in operation.

Hard job competing with gravity.

You can make sure the pushrod guides are perfectly straight and there is no binding anywhere in the system.

http://www.raptortechnique.com has indepth directions.
