Anyone Run a 2.4 Downlink Cam direct from the receiver power plug?

I am looking at doing this to save weight - but won't do it if could cause a problem.

Rossco, I am not aware of any downlinks which will run on 4.8v. It is only about 5g extra to carry a Dimension Engineering voltage regulator to split power off the ESC connection to the power battery. You can then dial in exactly what voltage your downlink wants.
