I have never stripped the Karbonite gears on the elevator servo. Thinking about replacing the other two with MG. Will that be OK, or should I replace all 3?

All three should be the same kind, I am not 100% certain but think the MG and Karbonite gears have slightly different pitch, which would mean you would see interaction if you mixed them. I could be wrong, but pretty darn sure...

...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

i have mixed hs56's with an hs65 and I KNOW they are different. The one 65 is on the elevator of an SE. I was able to adjust travel and arm length on them so that there is no problem with collective even speed wise. I think for simple flying it is not a problem.

Richw, I don't you read this subject. It is not about HS-56 and HS-65. It is all about HS-65HBG (carbonite gears) and HS-65MG (metal gears).

By the way... status update.

I just mounted three new HS-65MG's on my swashplate today. I cashed pretty hard into the gras and right into the ground and stripped one (or maybe two) metal gear set(s)! Damn!

Yes, I stripped one MG gear set, and maybe even two. I don't have the gears on stock yet, so no flying this week I'm grounded!

Yes, it hit the ground very hard. But I repaired most of it already. I have a stock of spare parts because I get sick of ordering all the time. Only... no gears in stock

The gras and wied was totally wound up in my rotohead, you should think it was een normal plant, a bucksis.
