Hey guys,

I finally finished building a century hawk pro and I am a bit confused and have a few questions:

1st, when I throttle down, should the swashplate go all the way down or all the way up, currently when I throttle down it goes all the way up.

2nd, I am using a JR PCM 10X radio, when I throttle all the way to 100% I seem to get forward aileron for some reason. I trimmed to neutral at 100% throttle, now when I cut the throttle I get backwards aileron !!

Any help is appreciated...

OK, as to left stick up/dpwn versus swash, mode II, "down" means swash down. This is your pitch curve in action..

As to aileron forward or backward, aileron is just left or right. Perhaps you mean elevator?

But even if you are describing elevator, it ain't right.

Ideal thing is, find a local heli pilot to help you set your heli up.

Ok, so I do have the swash reversed correct ? When I throttle down, the swashplate should go down ?

I am from small town, and I mean SMALL town I nidana, i think I am the only one with any type of RC vehicles within 100 miles radius

To correct the swash direction, reverse the pitch channel (channel 6).

Concerning the elevator input at collective extremes... Have you set the min and max collective pitch yet? You may simply be driving the mechnical systeme beyond its intended limits with too much collective travel.

Trim the swash at mid stick, zero collective pitch, then set your collective range and check for the elevator input again.

Do a search for "hawk interaction" with the "show by post" option and you'll see that there is a known interaction between collective and cyclic on the Hawk mechanics. The more collective range dialed in, the more interaction.

Which Plainfield? Laporte or Hendricks county?

Wow, this Radio curve set up is sooo confusing !!

You're not that far from a lot of help. There are six RR members with Plainfield, IN, as their location and many times that in Indianapolis.

Get some local help... It will save you frustration and possibly money.

stand behind the heli and move the swash, the swash should follow the stick, right stick, swash tilts right, foward stick, swash tils forward.. etc... up swash goes up..
