Bought a Used 450 a month ago and Find myself constantly re-torquing and re-lock-titing alot of the little screws. I know enough about fastener theorey to know that if you torque it properly the first time you shouldn't have "back off" problems.

Every couple of flights I find something lose. Once It caused me a crash cause I couldn't pull enough collective when I flaired to land.
Lose ball link in the rotor head...

Is the Metal frame any wose for this? Should I look at the carbon Frame members?

Should I just glue A tool kit to my belt? Is there a better solution to this other than vigilant pre-flight checks every time I go up?

Re loctite every bolt with some good blue loctite and you should be golden. I fly dozens of flights, nothing comes loose.

...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

Maybe your out of balance on your blades. This added vibration is killer.I go 100 flights with no problem. You should check srews every day of flight, cheap insurance.
Worn dampeners can too.I use true blood.

If you are using locktite already, then look for vibration in the tail, motor and as mentioned head. My machines don't have chronic problems with the screws coming loose. I have aluminum framed helis, though not the Trex 450 with aluminum (have a 600E and MX400 with aluminum).

You might try replacing all the screws/bolts with better quality ones- the Align screws are not very high quality, soft, and perhaps they have been over-torqued and yielded, or the threads are worn.

But like I said, even there, locktite and I have not had problems.

Never, ever, ever, ever give up.
